TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2001. Recently I took apart a heralded study on the use of Paxil with kids. The study tried to cover up the obvious worthless effects of the drug.
Here is follow-up from The Guardian. David Healy, med director of the North Wales Dept. of Psychological Medicine--who obtained access to manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline's archives, discovered that healthy volunteers who were given the drug in the 1980s were hit with powerful withdrawal symptoms when they stopped the drug--AFTER ONLY A FEW WEEKS OF BEING ON IT.
Even the World Health Organization has put Paxil at number one on the list of drugs which doctors state cause the heaviest withdrawal problems. (Plus, of course, Paxil scrambles the brain neurotransmitters.)
And while we're talking about the GLOBAL CHEMICAL WAR AGAINST THE POPULATION OF PLANET EARTH, let's not forget fluorides.
Two respected mainstream reporters, Joel Griffiths and Chris Bryson, in 1997, put together a piece on this substance for the Christian Science Monitor. It was a year's worth of research--and the story was turned down.
The authors had uncovered a frightening thing. "...[d]ocuments reveal that fluoride was the key chemical in atomic bomb production. Millions of tons of fluoride were needed to manufacture bomb-grade uranium and plutonium...One of the most toxic chemicals known, fluoride rapidly emerged as the leading chemical health hazard of the US atomic bomb program--both for workers and for nearby communities."
So various government agencies proceeded to cook the books with "science" which would exonerate fluorides.
In May of 1945, the city of Newburgh, New York, had its water supply fluoridated. This would be the test that would "prove" fluorides were safe. No one in Newburgh knew that the results of blood and placenta samples were being sent to the University of Rochester, where a highly classified analysis--called Program F--took place.
It took place in the University's secret Atomic Energy Project facility. Scientists from the famous A-bomb Manhattan Project were involved.
Apparently the ACTUAL results of this study were never published. A version was printed in 1956 which did exonerate fluoride. However, authors Griffiths and Bryson discovered another secret and classified fluoride study which was published in August 1948, in the Journal of American Dental Association. Well...a SANITIZED VERSION WAS PUBLISHED.
"The study addressed the dental and physical health of workers in a factory producing fluoride for the A-bomb program.
"The published version reports only that the men had fewer cavities. The secret version reports that most of the men had no teeth left.
"The secret version says the men had to wear rubber boots because the fluoride fumes disintegrated the nails in their shoes. The published version does not mention this.
"The secret version says the fluoride may have acted similarly on the men's teeth, contributing to their toothlessness. The published version omits this statement."
The authors continue, "Recent epidemiological evidence from China has found a correlation between low-dose fluoride exposure and diminished IQ in children."
Big-time animal researcher (toxicology), Dr. Phyllis Mullenix, of the Forsyth Dental Center in Boston, had her career trashed when she conducted studies in the 1990s on fluoride. Her conclusion? The substance was a very strong central nervous system toxin.
Her grant application to the National Institutes of Health to do more investigation was turned down.
Bryson and Griffiths showed her internal memos that had circulated within the Manhattan Project in the 1940s, memos which implied that the Manhattan people were, in fact, carrying out their own secret research on fluorides BECAUSE THEY WERE REALIZING THAT FLUORIDE WAS CAUSING CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DAMAGE.
Mullenix said she was "flabbergasted."
But hey, just keep brushing with that twinkly fluoride toothpaste and drink the fluoridated water, right?
