You have a web site. You have traffic. You're making sales. Life is good. But you want more sales and profits.
You're participating in a few associates programs. But you aren't making nearly as much money from those programs as you'd like.
How can you quickly develop very profitable back end profit centers? The answer is simple: Create and sell digitally delivered problem-solving information products.
Here's why:
1. No Inventory Nightmares
You don't have to worry about paying for and storing a lot of inventory. You process your customer's credit cards real time and then allow them to immediately download the product.
2. Ten Times Markup
You should have a ten times markup or near that on your products. I know people who sell information products with up to 20X markup!
Why is this important? Because even if you produce a product that's a slow seller, you should still make more money with it than you would promoting your average associate's program product.
I'm not against associate programs. But I am for making the most of the profit opportunities your web site gives you.
3. Fast Product Creation Cycle
You can create the products I advocate in 2-5 hours. Ten hours max. It shouldn't take any longer than that if you know your subject. That means you can spend your time on marketing your product, not creating it. Very important. So many people spend all their capital creating a product and then have no money to market it!
4. Low Cost of Product Creation
Here's something else I love. The cost to create these products is very low. You can rent a studio in many cities for $25 to $40 an hour. Or you can record at home for practically nothing.
You can digitize your media product and make it Internet ready using any of numerous free software options available. When a customer buys from you, they receive a password to a page where the product can be listened to or viewed immediately.
Alternatively, you can provide your information in report format and make it available via immediate download.
5. Your Product Makes You Money, NOT Others!
Here's something else I like about creating your own products. You make yourself money, not others. A lot of distributorships and dealerships are designed to make others rich, not you. Be your own Golden Goose and lay your own Golden Eggs!
