You can think of your life as a PATH. It started somewhere and it leads somewhere.
Some people are unaware of the path they're on. They essentially live their life like a zombie. They wake up in the morning, wash and shave, have breakfast, go to work where they repeat the same old things, get home where they turn on the TV, etc... The same old routine over and over again... They live more or less like automatons. Where do their paths lead?
Some people are more conscious of their paths. They have a better idea of where they want to go. They do things to improve their paths. They realize that through their past decisions and actions they have chosen their paths.
George Bush and his people in Iraq are on a path. It's a path that is leading somewhere. The outcome is a matter of PROBABILITIES. The outcome for some individuals on the Bush/Iraq path is likely to be an early death.
Your own path can be more or less SELF-DIRECTED. It depends on where you DECIDE to go; what you decide to ACHIEVE WITH YOUR LIFE.
How do you MEASURE the VALUE of your life? What does this have to do with the path you're on?
How do you CALCULATE any CHANGES OF DIRECTION that might improve the path you're on?
If you're not perfectly satisfied with your current path, is there anything that keeps you stuck in an inferior path?
