Chapter 13

Value Production

Subject: If objectivism were such a great philosophy...

Inquiry

The following is a quote from my new, "ZonPower From Cyberspace" book. "Every populated area in existence has the economic-growth needs for which each additional, volitionally developed, conscious being from any civilization would be of immense value. Thus, honest conscious beings anywhere in existence are never allowed to perish." pg 279-280.

If I understand this correctly it means that there are an infinite number of civilizations throughout the universe who both possess and employ the technology to conduct "universal consciousness snatching" (for want of a better term) on a regular basis. At first when I read this I assumed it was a metaphorical concept. I had been of the belief that death was final and absolute; value destroyer or otherwise.

Now I understand the rationale behind this quite easily. Value Producers in the C of U can produce limitless values forever and thus are in great demand throughout the universe by civilizations short on "manpower" :)

So now I send out two requests into cyberspace.

1. I would love it if anyone could elaborate on this particular concept and;

2. I have an incredibly weak background in the hard sciences and math. Never made it past trig, and only took biology/genetics in college. So I have decided that these are areas I would like to learn much more about because I have a very difficult time following the physics of Zon from a technical standpoint although I do feel I grasp the basic theory of it. There is a great deal of mystical science out there, can anyone recommend some fully integrated readings for me that would allow me to understand the physics of Zon in the fastest possible time. Even more appreciated would be if someone could e-mail me any type of cutting edge scientific/mathematical treatises, etc. that will help me better understand the actual mechanics behind the universe(s).

I agree to a degree, but I don't think the apex is achieved though articles, reading, arguing, writing--and most of all, not through an explicit attempt to "be honest" or "eradicate irrationality."

Inquiry

Was it not through articles, reading, understanding, and an explicit attempt to eradicate dishonesty and be rational that allowed your understanding of NT? To us, NR, NT is obvious. Some will never learn. Similarly, the Civilization of the Universe is obvious to its citizens. Yet, we will 'never' learn. Furthermore, new knowledge is being generated about the disease of Irrationality. An explicit attempt to be honest is needed to reach the apex.

Response

Sure. And those things are all values produced and being produced by NTP and others. It all comes down to increasingly competitive value production. I didn't place a label on what types of values need be produced. The essentials are that the values be objective, competitive, and endlessly increasing.

For me, NTP and Ayn Rand produced the values that got me started in the right direction. Now, it's up to me to competitively produce increasing values. For, that process subsumes honesty and rationality.

Inquiry

For me, it's simple: competitive value production. For, to produce increasingly competitive values in an advancing society requires that one increasingly be driven into higher business-modes of neothink.

Response

Very good point here. But the apex is not just competitively producing values. Its doing that, but also performing naturally, and without hesitation or fear. You need both explicit honesty and integrated productivity.

Inquiry

You need these things, but they are implicit in the competitive production of increasing values. So make that primary, and everything will fall into place naturally. Honesty and rationality come natural. It is laziness (failure to produce competitive values) which causes people to rationalize irrationality.

Response

Attaining the "apex," or C of U is perfectly natural for someone who increasingly produces competitive values.

Inquiry

More so than for others, sure, but then why haven't most competitive business people on Earth entered the Civilization of the Universe already?

Response

Because it is not yet our time, in a sense. Irrationality exists in great abundance. Forget how and why it got here, it's here. Had it never popped up in any meaningful way, we would have entered the CofU 2000 years ago. But we now exist in a certain context of time. Since we can't go back, we must move forward. and since we hold to the principle of non-force, the move into the CofU must be entirely natural (by definition, the CofU MUST come totally naturally, it can't be coerced). The surest way to advance civilization to this point is simply through increased production of competitive values. Look around. The process is happening, advancing and continuing. It IS the competitive business people of the Earth who will deliver us into the CofU.

Inquiry

This is, in my view, the most misunderstood aspect of NT and ZP. It's about VALUE PRODUCTION folks. NOTHING will get you to the apex except competitive value production.

Response

Its about value production, but with great value production, comes great resistance within an anticivilization. That is the whole point of writing about it. The point of NT is to make integrated thinking available to everyday people. While its true that competitive value production is required to reach the apex, the essences of dishonesty and laziness diminish even those who achieve great value production, and at the same time prevent so many from achieving value production.

Inquiry

Value production does equal investment. So, everyone currently producing values is invested in the anti-civilization out of survival necessity. But it can't be any other way right now. The apex, so to speak, will be attained from continuing the natural competitive drive forward. At a point, values will be so great that will suddenly realize that we're "over the hump." The dynamic at work here is free competition. It is the competitiveness of increasing value production.

Response

Right.
