INTEGRATED THINKING The Essence of Power and Wealth Part II by Eric Savage
|
In a first-generation company, top management (the founders) always consists of integrated-thinking essence builders. For, exerting integrated thinking is the only way to successfully start a competitive, profit-generating company. But, most managers brought in under essence-building founders slip into specialized, handle-the-details-only jobs that are not integrated with moving forward the money-making essence of the company. At that point the company begins slipping into an avoid-integrated-thinking mode.
When the original founders retire or die, their void is usually filled by those specialized, detail-handling managers. After several generations, management from lower to upper management becomes filled almost entirely with such nonintegrating, specialized managers. That phenomenon initiates the white-collar hoax (see Mark Hamilton's "Neo-Tech Cosmic Business Control" for a complete explanation of the white-collar hoax). As those specialized managers take over, then more and more business decisions are based on path-of-least-resistance, nonintegrated thinking. The powerful and prestigious positions of top management become filled with managers who are not exerting the brain-sweating, foundation-building, integrated essence movement necessary for the company to move forward. Those managers are not turning out ever-growing, increasingly competitive values that will enable the company to grow and prosper for decades, even generations, into the future. They are, instead, riding off foundations built, integration-by-integration, by previous essence-building managements.
Yet, brain-sweating, foundation-building, integrated essence movement is precisely the kind of effort exertion required for such high-powered, leveraged management positions. Thus, a nonintegrating, non essence-building current management becomes vulnerable to and would be outflanked by integrated-thinking, essence-building competition.
In the name of their corporations, white-collar-hoax managements provide the support pillars for government regulations that stifle integrated-thinking, essence-building competition. White-collar-hoax managements do not seek to build the essences of their companies; they seek regulation to protect their livelihoods.
Although early American government was not as powerful as it is today, even during the earliest years of American government scores of non essence-driving businessmen were pushing for government regulations against integrated-thinking, essence-building competition. Why? Because non essence-building businessmen have always sought the path-of-least-resistance. They seek to avoid competitive integrated thinking.
During the railroad empire years of the late Nineteenth century, for example, white-collar-hoax businessmen flocked to the government to legislate protection from railroad magnate Jay Gould and his brilliant, highly competitive integrated thinking.
Consider a current example: Ontario, Canada recently held a proposal to finally allow businesses to remain open on Sunday. But a vicious campaign against the Sunday shopping proposal was launched. The campaign was headed not by religious zealots or anti-business Marxists, but by established, entrenched big business. Fortune 500 companies ran full-page newspaper ads and formed committees against Sunday shopping. The entrenched managements did not want to deal with the added competition and effort Sunday business would bring. So they turned to government force to stop those new competitive variables from arising. For those new competitive variables were opportunities that would be seized by harder working, more competitive, integrated-thinking entrepreneurs.
Those examples are a microcosm of how all force-backed "external authority" gets its support. At the root of all "external authority" are individuals seeking to avoid competitive integrated thinking in their livelihoods.
Consequently, the first layer of man's "external authority" affliction develops. Vast numbers of workers' livelihoods remain dependent on specialized managers. But, those specialized, nonintegrating managers, too, remain dependent on an "external authority". They form the second layer of the "external authority" affliction; those specialized managers remain dependent on top management to make sure their work is integrated with the company's bottom line and generates profits.
But, if that top management is not an integrated-thinking, essence-building management, if that management instead rides off what previous managements built, the third and most devastating layer of the "external authority" affliction is formed. Nonintegrated-thinking, non essence-building top managements inevitably turn to government regulation to protect their livelihoods.
If a person is not an integrated thinker, his livelihood is always vulnerable. His job or his company can be taken over by more integrated, essence-building competitors. For, integrated thinking is the only way to create and competitively continue business amidst wide open, value-producing, essence-building competition.
The epitome of the Nothingness Drain is exemplified by government and the media. The media, armed with the latest, highly sophisticated technology, descend upon politicians in a great flurry of activity. The politicians, in order to appear important, are scurrying about devising a maze of laws and regulations in the name of some trendy cause to be forced upon productive individuals. But for what gain? The bottom line is that absolutely zero net values are produced by that great flurry of activity. In fact, such unproductive, uncompetitive political and media activity serves only to devour vast amounts of producers' time, energy, and capital.
One sees the Nothingness Drain everywhere. In fact, the Nothingness Drain is so pervasive that it can appear as though there is a conspiracy among diabolical masterminds orchestrating vast Nothingness-Drain empires. But that is not so. There is not a masterminded "external authority" conspiracy out there. People just follow the path of least resistance. They do not break into competitive, integrated thinking. Thus, they remain dependent on "external authorities" and their self-perpetuating Nothingness-Drain empires.
Ever since the Greek philosopher Aristotle, fundamental and valid identifications have repeatedly been made about the irrationality and destructiveness of force-backed government -- of force-backed "external authority". But to no avail. The institutions of force have always prevailed. Why? Because their support structure -- personal mysticism (avoidance of integrated thinking) in millions of people seeking the path of least resistance -- has prevailed. Indeed, even the valid philosophical/political systems such as Objectivism, Libertarianism, Voluntarism focus too much attention on the evils of "external authority". For those "external authorities" are not even real. They produce nothing. They are just nothingness that result from ordinary people taking the path of least resistance through life. The real nemesis of mankind is the avoidance of integrated thinking. The avoidance of integrated thinking keeps the individual dependent on "external authority".[ 45 ]
Objectivists, Libertarians, Voluntarists validly identify the hoax of "external authority" and the supremacy of the individual but never succeed in collapsing external authority. Why? They themselves, with only a few exceptions, do not exert competitive, money-making, integrated thinking in their careers. Thus, in the end, their livelihoods are dependent on others. They, too, are ultimately dependent on an external authority. Objectivists, Libertarians, Voluntarists will never be able to eliminate the same "external authority" institutions they denounce. Without competitive, business-like integrated thinking, no person or group can ever collapse the structure of "external authority" or any form of institutionalized mysticism.
But, when a person starts integrated thinking in his career, he never again depends on others to maintain a livelihood. That independent thinker, by his very nature, is Laissez Faire, leave-me-alone oriented. Such integrated thinkers naturally do not support Nothingness Drains or "external authorities". By their very nature, they dislike and subvert white-collar hoaxes, "external authority", and all other Nothingness Drains.
Regardless of how clearly, how effectively Objectivist, Libertarian, or Voluntarist intellectuals identify and then expose the immoral, destructive nature of force-backed "external authority", they will never be able to stop such neocheaters.[ 46 ] Competitive pressure of business is the only dynamic that will collapse "external authority". Nothing else can. For only such competitive pressure can drive more and more people into integrated thinking.
Other essence builders do not represent a long-range threat to the integrated thinker. For, the integrated thinker builds upon the value foundations of other essence builders.
If the world were populated with integrated thinkers, even if they did not explicitly identify the hoax of "external authority", all force-backed empires, all institutionalized mysticism would collapse. For, the support pillars would no longer exist. Indeed, the integrated thinker is a profit-generating essence mover. He is not dependent on anyone else -- especially not on government neocheaters to protect his livelihood.
But, in today's conscious/mystic world, a constant and pervasive resistance toward integrated thinking exists. Even if a person is enthusiastic about Neo-Tech concepts, he will still avoid integrated thinking in his job if he has not been previously exposed to hard, money-making integrated thinking. Money-making integrated thinking is completely alien to most.
Whenever a manager encounters huffy resistance against integrated-thinking essence movement in an employee, he is encountering their personal mysticism -- a deep-rooted, camouflaged laziness and dishonesty. That manager must aggressively put a stop to that huffiness. He must get the focus back on hard-driving essence movement -- not easy-to-follow detail tasks. He must stamp out any prima donna attitudes, integration-avoiding tactics, and "that work is not my responsibility" excuses.
For a revealing analogy, consider bicameral man. As identified by Julian Jaynes in The Origin of Consciousness, until about 2000 B.C., man was not conscious in the way that he is today. Man was bicameral. Bicameral man was like an animal man. He automatically reacted to his environment, he was essentially controlled by nature. That contrasts to today's conscious man. Conscious man can think conceptually and introspect. Conscious man can think out and plan his actions. He controls his environment and life. Animal man was guided by external stimuli. Conscious man is guided by internal thoughts.[ 47 ]
Yet, for about 8000 years bicameral man had the capability to do conceptual, introspective thinking. But bicameral people simply would not break into the conceptual, introspective thinking mode. Bicameral thinking was too ingrained in everyone. For them, bicameral thinking was the path of least resistance. Eventually, bicameral man reached the point where society became too complex for bicameral thought. At that point, society began collapsing, forcing man to do conceptual, introspective thinking or perish. Thus, he began exerting conceptual, introspective thinking to survive. But people did not switch into conceptual, introspective thinking voluntarily.
Regardless of such potential competitive power, unless workers are compelled into integrated thinking, they will always remain dependent on someone else's integrated thinking. Someone, somewhere (perhaps the company's original founders now dead and gone) must make sure employees' work is integrated with the bottom line and is moving the company's essence forward.
As explained in Mark Hamilton's "Neo-Tech Cosmic Business Control", business can be structured so that everyone is forced to do integrated-thinking essence movement. Remember, most workers become downright huffy when pushed to move on their essences. For, money-making essence movement requires vigorous, competitive business. One must move ideas into actions, then into profits. One must design and implement new processes while at the same time constantly searching for more competitive arrangements, lower costs, and more efficient numbers. In addition, one must chase down new customers, continuously power negotiate, reduce supplier prices...in all, one must think out and perform scores of integrated tasks.
Jobs can be formatted so that any employee brought into the company is forced to do money-making integrated thinking. Management can format workers so that additional employees they bring in under them are forced to do money-making, integrated-thinking essence movement to keep their jobs. (See Mark Hamilton's "Neo-Tech Cosmic Business Control" for details on how to achieve such a company structure.)
As explained in "Neo-Tech Cosmic Business Control", a manager must corner a traditional employee with survival pressures to force that employee into money-making integrated thinking. Until that employee is cornered with survival pressures, he or she will not give in. That employee will make excuses as to why specific money-making essence movements cannot be done, or will rationalize that certain detail tasks he or she is doing are money-making essence movements. In the integrated-thinking battle, a manager must go on a mysticism hunt. Specifically, the manager must go on a hunt against the avoidance of integrated thinking. For, the average person becomes a genius at avoiding integrated thinking. Like the alcoholic who becomes a genius at making up rationalizations to deceive himself, his employer, and his family, the average man becomes a genius at figuring out how to avoid integrated thinking -- how to avoid competitive, money-making essence movement in his job.
If a business were to establish all jobs so that employees must do integrated thinking, as defined in "Neo-Tech Cosmic Business Control", that business would grow so rapidly that competitors would be forced into a similar integrated-thinking format or perish. For example, consider that one integrated thinker, Henry Ford, forced industry worldwide into mass production. Survival pressures will now drive people worldwide into integrated thinking.

[ 45 ] Integrated thinking is grounded in effort and honesty, the essence of Neo-Tech. Nonintegrated thinking is grounded in laziness and dishonesty, the essence of mysticism.
[ 46 ] See "Why Neo-Tech Succeeds When All Other Philosophical Ideas Fail" by Frank R. Wallace in the 1989 edition of Neo-Tech Cosmic Power. Fully integrated honesty combined with effort leads to the widest scope integrated thinking. All other philosophical systems contain some element of laziness and dishonesty that truncates increasingly widescope integrated thinking. Whenever increasingly widescope integrated thinking is cut off, people eventually become defenseless against, even dependent upon, force-backed "external authority".
[ 47 ] Frank R. Wallace's Neo-Tech III expands on the bicameral man phenomenon and how vestiges of bicameral man's need for external guidance act as a cancer seed of mysticism in today's conscious man.
[ 48 ] Money making in business means self-supporting value production and growth.
[ 49 ] Such an integrated company would lead to the collapse of institutionalized mysticism which, in turn, would eventually lead to Biological Immortality. In addition, the massive business and technological breakthroughs to achieve Biological Immortality can come only from integrated-thinking essence movers. Biological Immortality can never be achieved by detail pushers. No matter how much individuals may agree with the concepts of Neo-Tech and Biological Immortality, integrated thinking is the only way to achieve Biological Immortality.
[ 50 ] A manager who carefully studies his business will find that a few basic movements generate all income. Those movements are what really matter. All other aspects of the business spring from those few money-making movements. Yet most managers fill their days going through details, supervising others, handling employees' problems, holding meetings and doing errands that have nothing to do with those handful of money-making movements. The one or two actions a traditional manager performs in a day that do require integrated-thinking, money-making essence movement keep the whole business going. But, if a manager intensely focuses on money-making essence movements all day long, he can increase his money-making essence movements from one or two a day to ten, twenty, or more essence movements in a single day. That manager will then increase his wealth power from a corner store capacity to a Donald Trump like capacity.
[ 51 ] The only people who can stop the integrated thinker are neocheaters. But "Neo-Tech Cosmic Power" philosophically grounds the integrated thinker so that no guns-and-fists neocheaters can ever again stop the value producer.
