#TL077: PEME RESOURCE DIRECTORY

Compiled by Frederick Mann
© Copyright 1998 Terra Libra Holdings ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

[Editor (DTF's) note: This report was originally named "#TL07x?", however FM mentioned a "#TL077" report elsewhere, but no actual report can be found anywhere with that name, so I've renamed this one to "#TL077", because this is the only other file I could find on this subject/series. This report was not linked to from anywhere in the latest website version until I added a mention of it in #TL074. The original file contents was rough/sketchy due to obviously still being a work in progress (which FM may not have done anymore work on in his personal files). I've reformatted everything for consistency.]

[Note: The initial writings and debates on "peme-theory" are in reports #TL075 and #TL076. Since then I've made two major improvements to peme-theory: (1) Distinguishing between positive and negative pemes; (2) Subdividing peme-theory into three levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. These improvements are reflected in report #TL074 and subsequent peme reports, #TL077, etc.]

The Peme Project

[Short description/outline of the Peme Project.]

Purpose of This Directory

The primary purpose of this directory is to serve as a resource tool for anyone interested in writing a "peme" novel or participating in the Peme Project in some way. If you know of a useful resource not listed in this directory, please send details to info@buildfreedom...

Consensus Reality Level 0

-- What "average" or "normal" people believe, particularly about the "political system" -- they generally agree with all or most of its principles.

Consensus Reality Level 1

-- What many libertarians or other freedom-oriented people believe, particularly about the "political system" -- they generally disagree with many of its principles. They generally agree that they have to obey "the system" in important respects, and in order for them to be free "the system" has to be changed. (Corresponds to basic peme-theory, level 1.)

Consensus Reality Level 2

-- What those people who successfully "beat the system" believe. They generally disagree with most or all of the principles of the "political system." They have the knowledge, abilities, and skills to live free despite "the system." (Corresponds to intermediate peme-theory, level 2.)

Consensus Reality Level 3

-- What Deep Anarchists or Pememasters believe, particularly that the entire "political system" is a hoax, fraud, and sham -- a chimera. They generally disagree with all "its" principles. (Corresponds to advanced peme-theory, level 3.)

Consensus Reality, Other

-- Many other "consensus reality levels" can be described for other contexts, e.g., religion.
